Iran’s government spokesman condemns assassination of his Afghan counterpart

Tehran (ISNA) - Iran’s government spokesman, Ali Rabiei in a message condemned a terrorist attack in Kabul that led to the death of his Afghan counterpart, Zia Wadan.

In the message, Rabiei condoled with Afghan people and government over the deadly attack.

“The assassination of the spokesman of the Afghan government and his entourage was shocking news for the Iranian government and people,” he said.

“While extending our condolences to the Afghan nation, government, and the families of the victims of the attack, we strongly condemn this terrorist move,” Rabiei added.

He described terror as a hateful and unacceptable tool for achieving political goals and will bring no result but to promote violence and chaos.

“I assure Afghan brothers and sisters that Iran will stand by them in the fight against terrorism, violence and occupation,” he added.
