Iran’s Foreign Ministry asks citizens not to travel to S. Korea

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry advised citizens not to travel to South Korea, amid the breakout of coronavirus in the country.

“Following the coronavirus breakout in South Korea”, the ministry said, it “asks compatriots to seriously consider” the recommendations.

These recommendations include withholding travels to the country, considering precautionary measures for those who have returned from South Korea in recent two weeks.

The statement also asks Iranians who reside in the country to observe preventative measures and avoid going to centers of the infection. It also recommends them to notice the warnings by Korean health officials and consider leaving the country if the situation escalated.
