Indian Foreign secretary to visit Iran

Tehran (ISNA) – Indian Foreign secretary, Vijay Gokhale will arrive in Iran on Sunday for a two-day visit, during which he will meet with Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif and deputy Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

“Foreign Secretary is visiting Iran for 16th Foreign Office Consultations on 15-16 Sept,” the Indian Ministry of External Affairs announced.

“During his visit, he will hold consultations with his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi,” ministerial spokesman Raveesh Kumar said in a statement.

He said the Indian foreign secretary is also expected to meet with Mohammad Javad Zarif at the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s building.

During the meetings with Iranian officials, Vijay Gokhale will discuss key bilateral, regional and international issues.
