Melbourne Int. Film Festival to host 2 Iranian films

Tehran (ISNA) – Melbourne International Film Festival 2019 which runs 1-18 August, is due to screen two Iranian films “Brick and Mirror” and “Passage”.

“Brick and Mirror” by Ebrahim Golestan is considered as a pioneering example of the first Iranian New Wave.

The newly restored version of “Brick and Mirror” was previously premiered in the Classic section of the 2018 Venice Film festival.

“Passage”, a short film directed and produced by Kimia Hendi, is about a girl who gets a different perspective on loss after losing her father.

MIFF is considered as one of world’s oldest film festivals and one of most prestigious festivals in Australia.
