Iran’s first Vice-President to visit Syria

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s first Vice-President, Es'haq Jahangiri will visit Syria in near future, Jahangiri’s advisor announced on Wednesday.

“Interaction between Iran and Iraq are favorable and currently the capacity of energy exports to Iraq is 1300 megawatt that sometimes our exports exceed the capacity,” Iran’s fist Vice-President’s advisor, Hassan Danai-Far said, adding, “Two gas pipelines are also constructed and 40% of Iraq’s need of power is provided by Iran”.

 “Iran’s Minister of Oil, Bijan Namdar Zangeneh will visit Iraq Thursday (tomorrow) to discuss expanding oil relations with the Arab country,” he announced.

Danai-Far noted that Syria has a complicated bureaucracy but politically, Iran can have trade and economic ties with Iraq and Syria, saying, “Iran and Syria have recently signed a long-term strategic agreement”.
