Farhadi’s “Everybody Knows” to be screened in Russia Sept. 20

Tehran (ISNA) – Asghar Farhadi’s latest film, “Everybody Knows” will be publicly screened in Russia late this summer on September 20.

The film is to be released as the opening film of upcoming 71th Cannes Film Festival on May 8 which will be its first international show.

“Everybody Knows” will be screened since May 9 - a day after the opening of Cannes Film Festival- in 400 movie theaters in France. It will also be screened since September 13 in Argentina and since september14 in Spain.

According to the review of “Everybody Knows”, the story follows Carolina, a Spanish woman living in Buenos Aires, who returns to her hometown outside Madrid with her Argentinian husband and children. However, the trip is upset by unexpected events that bring secrets into the open.

Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz, Ricardo Darín, Bárbara Lennie have stared in this movie.

The film is jointly produced by Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, France’s Memento Films, Spain’s Morena Films and Lucky Red from Italy.
