DR Congo, Mongolia, Ireland, Burkina Faso, Indonesia FMs send congratulatory message to Amir Abdollahian

Tehran (ISNA) – Foreign ministers of DR Congo, Mongolia, Ireland, Burkina Faso, and Indonesia in separate messages to Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian congratulated him on winning Parliament’s vote of confidence and his inauguration as Iran’s top diplomat.

Christophe Lutumdula Apala Pen'Apala, the Democratic Republic of Congo’s deputy prime minister and the country’s Foreign Minister in his congratulation message to Amir Abdollahian said the Democratic Republic of Congo is willing to expand bilateral ties with Iran more than ever before.

The Congolese foreign minister also wished Amir Abdollahian success as Iran’s new foreign minister.

In a message to Amir Abdollahian, Mongolian Foreign Minister Ms. Battsetseg Batmunkh congratulated him on winning the Iranian Parliament’s vote of confidence and his inauguration as Iran’s top diplomat.

In this message, the Mongolian foreign minister expressed willingness to cooperate with her Iranian counterpart in order to strengthen the long-standing friendly relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Mongolia, especially regarding trade and economic cooperation.

Irish Foreign and Defense Minister Simon Coveney sent a message to Amir Abdollahian, congratulating him on his appointment as Iran’s new top diplomat.

He referred to his country’s constructive cooperation with Iran, emphasizing the need to maintain dialogue with the country.

Coveney also called for continued cooperation between the two countries.

Burkina Faso’s Foreign Minister Alpha Barry in a congratulation message said that he’s ready to cooperate with Amir Abdullahian to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.

Indonesian Foreign Minister Ms. Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi has also sent a message to Amir Abdollahian, congratulating him on winning Parliament’s vote of confidence and his inauguration as Iran’s top diplomat.

In this message, the Indonesian foreign minister called Iran one of Indonesia's important partners in the region. She added, "The development of relations during the 70 years of our diplomatic relations has provided the ground for the promotion of cooperation between the two countries."

She expressed hope that the friendship and cooperation between the two countries would lead to better conditions for both nations, especially during the Covid pandemic.
