Iran in compliance with JCPOA: Zarif to Blinken

Iran in compliance with JCPOA: Zarif to Blinken

Tehran (ISNA) – In a reaction to the recent remarks of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stressed that Iran is in compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“It remains unclear whether US President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken are ready to bury the failed ‘maximum pressure’ policy of Trump and Mike Pompeo, and cease using Economic Terrorism as bargaining ‘leverage’,” Zarif wrote on his official Twitter account.

“Iran is in compliance with the JCPOA. Just read paragraph 36. Time to change course,” he added.

Zarif’s tweet came as Blinken claimed on Monday that it remains unclear if Tehran is willing to take steps to return to compliance with the Iran nuclear deal.
