Iran, China, Russia hold trilateral meeting in Vienna

Tehran (ISNA) - Ambassador and permanent representative of Iran to the International Organizations in Vienna, Kazem Gharibabadi announced on Monday that Iranian, Chinese and Russian delegations held a trilateral meeting on reviving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna.

“Trilateral meeting between Iran, China and Russia. Heads of delegations discussed and reviewed issues related to ongoing JCPOA negotiations,” Gharibabadi wrote on his official Twitter account.

Gharibabadi’s remarks came as the fifth round of the Joint Commission of JCPOA, with the presence of the Iranian negotiating team and P4+1, has resumed since May 25 in Vienna.

Necessary measures for reviving the JCPOA through bilateral return of Tehran and Washington to it are reviewed in two separate working groups which include Iran’s JCPOA commitments, the lift of sanctions and the US' return to the deal, as well as executive arrangements.

Iran has called for lifting of all imposed sanctions against Tehran and US administration has already announced that it is ready to lift incompatible sanctions with the JCPOA.
