Iran, Russia hold bilateral meeting in Vienna

Tehran (ISNA) - Heads of Iranian and Russian delegations held a relatively lengthy meeting on Saturday ahead of the resumption of the meetings of the Joint Commission of the JCPOA in Vienna.

During the meeting, Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov and Iran's chief negotiator and deputy foreign minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi re-coordinated their positions and stressed the need to maintain the closeness of the positions of the two countries.

Ulyanov once again emphasized Moscow’s support for the JCPOA and the removal of the US’ unilateral sanctions against Iran.
