Tehran (ISNA) – Saint Mary Church is located in Mashhad city, Iran.
The church was built in 1941 and has been registered on Iran’s National Heritage List.
Armenian Cemetery, located in Mashhad, is the only cemetery for Armenians in the city. The cemetery has a special status and value historically and politically.
The oldest grave in Armenian Cemetery dates back to 1918.
Most people buried in the cemetery were from the U.S., Russia, Georgia, Canada, France, and Poland.
There is an area in Armenian Cemetery for the Polish people who arrived in Iran during World War II.
