Tehran (ISNA) – Tourists are surprised as a lake has appeared beside the hottest land surface in the world, the Lut salt desert (Dasht-e Lut), located in Iran.
The lake is called Kalut Javan and has become a favorite destination for the visitors of Kerman province.
Located near Shahdad city, the lake has been surprisingly nestled into the dunes.
The water level of Kalut Javan Lake, which was formed after flooding in the Lut desert nearly two years ago, has been reduced during summer, but high rainfall in the region can make it bigger.
