Tehran (ISNA) – Akbar Alami was an Iranian university professor, film critic, film director, and TV presenter, who died of the coronavirus on Tuesday, October 13, at the age of 77.
Mr. ALami was a member of the "Academy of Persian Language and Literature" and the "Iranian Academy of the Arts" from 2000 to 2007. He was also an influential member of the "Iranian Photographers’ Society".
Akbar Alami presented a television show called Honar-e Haftom (The Seventh Art) nearly twenty years ago, which had a significant role in making young Iranians interested in cinema.
