Tehran (ISNA) – Thirteen skeletons, including 11 human and 2 animal skeletons, were discovered during archeological excavations in Persepolis, located in Shiraz City of Iran.
Persepolis is an archeological site featuring majestic approaches, monumental stairways, throne rooms, reception rooms, and dependencies built by Darius I (522-486 BCE), his son Xerxes I (486-465 BCE), and his grandson Artaxerxes I (465-424 BCE).
It is among the world’s greatest archaeological sites.
