Tehran (ISNA) – The mourning rites of Ashura were held on Tuesday September 10 at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (PBUH) in Krabala City of Iraq.

Ashura is the 10th day of the lunar month of Muharram in which Imam Hussain (PBUH), who was the third Shiite Imam, and his 72 disciples were martyred in a battle, known as the “Battle of Karbala”, on October 10, 680 AD.
