Tehran (ISNA) – The projects of gas sweetening in Iran’s South Pars Gas Field in Phase 13 and Phases of 22, 23 and 24, both sections with the capacity of 56 million cubic meters of gas sweetening per day, were launched on Sunday March 17 in the presence of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
The Phases provide the process of 56 million cubic meters of gas per day from the joint offshore field between Iran and Qatar and convert it to 2900 tons of LPG, 2750 tons of Ethane, 75 thousand of Natural-gas condensate and 4000 tons of sulphur per day.
With launching those Phases, Iran’s daily gas production will surpass that of Qatar with which it shares the offshore field.
