Iran, Venezuela ink MoU on tourism cooperation

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran and Venezuela signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on tourism cooperation.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Iran's Minister of Culture, Handicrafts and Tourism Ali Asghar Mounesan and Venezuela’s Minister of Tourism and Foreign Trade Ali Padron who has traveled to Tehran at the head of a delegation.

“In line with Iran-Venezuela strategic plans, we try to boost tourism between the two countries,” Mounesan said at the signing ceremony of the MoU.

“Iran and Venezuela cooperate in various fields and Iran hopes that this cooperation would continue in the field of tourism,” he added.

“Through tourism, not only governments approaching each other but also nations will also come together,” Mounesan emphasized.

Pointing to the importance of Pardon’s visit to Iran, he noted that the trip is a great opportunity to get acquainted with Iran’s tourist, cultural, natural, and historical attractions.

He added that fortunately, Iran is a country that has unparalleled capacities in the field of tourism.

Padron, for his part, said that Iran is a beautiful country and Venezuela hopes to strengthen tourism relations with Iran.
