508,000 tonnes of commodities sold on Iran Mercantile Exchange

Tehran (ISNA) - Within the week ending November the second, 2020, the Iran Mercantile Exchange played host to trading 508,000 tonnes of various types of commodities worth more than 242 million USD.

According to a report by the IME financial affairs and PR, on the mineral and industrial trading floor of the exchange 210,039 tonnes of commodities changed hands with a total trading value of nearly 122 million USD.

On this trading platform the IME sold 202,036 tonnes of steel, 1,205 tonnes of aluminum, 3,280 tonnes of copper, 120 tonnes of molybdenum sulfur, 12 tonnes of precious metals concentrate, 200 tonnes of cast iron and 3,480 tonnes of zing ingots.

 Furthermore, the exchange witnessed trade of 297,836 tonnes of commodities on both domestic and export rings valued at more than 120 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor were 105,500 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 64,194 tonnes of bitumen, 59,072 tonnes of polymeric products, 27,984 tonnes of chemicals, 37,500 tonnes of lube cut, 360 tonnes of insulation, 1,951 tonnes of base oil, 150 tonnes of argon and 670 tonnes of sulfur.

 Next trading floor was the agricultural which sold 1,000 kg of saffron.

Last but not least was the IME's side market with 654 tonnes of commodities trade on it.

It's worth noting that a property belonging to the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics with an area of 3623 square meters was offered on the IME.
