Zarif: We don’t negotiate with West over the region

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif reminded some neighbors in the Persian Gulf that Iran doesn’t negotiate with the West over the region.

“It seems that some of the neighbors are asking the West to be part of the negotiation process with Iran,” Zarif tweeted in Arabic.

“We don’t negotiate with the West over the region. The main problem is their interventions,” he added.

“We are always ready for dialogue with our neighbors and projects such as Regional Security 1986, Regional Dialogue 2016, and Hormuz Peace Initiative 2019 illustrate this point,” Zarif stressed.
