Spectacular presence of Iranian cinema in São Paulo festival

Tehran (ISNA) – The 44th edition of the São Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil known as the Mostra will host 8 Iranian films.

“Sun Children” directed by Majid Majidi, “Soundless” by Behrang Dezfulizadeh, “Headless” by Kaveh Sajjadi-Hosseini, “When the Moon Was Full” by Narges Abyar, “Crows” by Naqi Nemati and “There Is No Evil” by Mohammad Rasoulof will compete in the International Perspective section with films from different countries including Portugal, Germany, Mexico, France, Lithuania, the U.S. and Greece.

“Anima” directed by Reza Golchin and “The Little Emigrant” by Betin Gobadi will compete at New Directors section of the event.

The Mostra is composed of six sections: Special Screenings, Tributes, Restorations, New Directors Competition, Mostra Brasil, and International Perspective. Since 2017, the event also presents virtual reality films.

198 films from 71 countries will compete at the festival.

The 44th edition of the São Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil will be held online from October 22 to November 4.
