IME witnesses growths in its trading volume, value

Tehran (ISNA) - During weekdays ending up to July 30, 2020, while over 712,569 MT of commodities worth over 1,166 million USD were traded on the Iran Mercantile Exchange, the trading volume and value experienced growths of 74 and 40 percent, respectively.

According to the report from IME International Affairs and PR, last week, on the domestic and export metal and mineral trading floor of IME, 166,640 MT of various products worth close to 467 million USD were traded.

On this trading floor, 159,918 MT of steel, 6,040 MT of copper, 120 MT of molybdenum concentrates, 18 MT of precious metal concentrates, 550 MT of zinc as well as 16 kg of gold bullion were traded by customers.

The report declares that on domestic and export oil and petrochemical trading floors of IME, 545,273 MT of different commodities with the total value of 704 million USD were traded.

On this trading floor, 230,000 MT of VB feed stock, 152,938 MT of bitumen, 67,207 MT of polymer products, 36,360 MT of chemical products, 940 MT of insulation, 49,500 MT of lube cut oil, 50 MT of argon, 1,378 MT of base oil, 1,000 MT of slaps waxes as well as 5,900 MT of sulfur were traded.

Furthermore, 650 MT of commodities were traded on the IME’s side market.
