“Kiss the Fair Face of God” to be published in Pakistan

Tehran (ISNA) - The Blue Circle Literary Agency on behalf of Mostafa Mastoor transferred the right to publish the Urdu translation of the book title “Kiss the Fair Face of God” to Mehrdar Publication in Pakistan.

“Kiss the Fair Face of God” was published in 1979 by Markaz Publications. It has been reprinted more than 90 times in the twenty years since, and 250000 copies have been sold. The book has been translated and published in Turkish, Russian, Indonesian, Bosnian, Arabic, Bengali and Azerbaijani languages, and is now set to hit major markets in Urdu speaking countries.

The Mehrdar Publications is based in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan in Pakistan, and is one of the publishers committed to professional agreements of purchasing publishing rights for its books. According to the agreement, the book "Kiss the Fair Face of God" is to be translated into Urdu by Ahmad Shahriyar. Ahmad Shahriyar is a Pakistani writer and poet living in Iran and has a background in translating books and articles from Persian into Urdu and vice versa.

"Kiss the Fair Face of God" is the story of Younes Ferdows, a sociology student, confronted with questions and ambiguities about God, existence, and the contradiction between reason and emotion.

The privilege of selling the rights of Mustafa Mastoor's works in foreign languages is exclusively granted to the Blue Circle Literary Agency.
