Iran’s envoy to China hails Beijing’s stance on JCPOA

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s ambassador to China, Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh commended China for objection to anti-Iran resolution passed by the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors, saying Beijing’s recent stance against the resolution was decisive and Iran will never forget China's firm stance.

Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh made the remarks in a reaction to China Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian's remarks about European countries’ approach toward Iran’s nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“E3 Foreign Ministers released a joint statement on Iran and upholding JCPOA commitments. Having quit JCPOA, the US has no right to ask the UNSC to trigger sanctions snapback. We urge the US to return to JCPOA and the UNSC resolution,” Lijian said on Monday.

“Beijing’s recent stance against IAEA anti-Iran resolution was decisive and Iran will never forget China's firm stance,” Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh wrote on his official Twitter account, hailing China’s stance.
