IME witnesses growth in trading volume, value

Tehran (ISNA) - During weekdays ending up to January 2, 2020, while 862,206 MT of commodities worth over 928 million USD were traded on Iran Mercantile Exchange, the trading volume and value experienced a growth of 62 and 73 percent, respectively.

According to the report from IME International Affairs and PR, last week, on the domestic and export metal and mineral trading floor of IME, 327,835 MT of various products worth close to 493 million USD were traded.

On this trading floor, 313,363 MT of steel, 4,770 MT of copper, 9,260 MT of aluminum, 120 MT of molybdenum concentrates, 12 MT of precious metal concentrates, 300 MT of zinc ingot and 10 MT of lead ingot as well as 21 kg of gold bullion were traded by customers.

The report declares that on domestic and export oil and petrochemical trading floors of IME, 533,460 MT of different commodities with the total value of 436 million USD were traded.

On this trading floor, 158,821 MT of bitumen, 21,300 MT of VB feed stock, 75,982 MT of polymer products, 17,060 MT of lube cut oil, 35,132 MT of chemical products, 2,000 MT of slaps waxes, 674 MT of insulation, 2,300 MT of base oil, as well as 29,115 MT of sulfur were traded.

Furthermore, 910 MT of commodities were traded on the side market of IME.
