Iran’s Intelligence Ministry neutralizes group planning disturbances at universities

Tehran (ISNA) – Leading members of a group planning disturbances at universities in Tehran and other parts of Iran on the eve of annual students’ day on December 7 had been arrested, Iran’s Intelligence Ministry announced on Tuesday.

“Intelligence forces identified and arrest leading members of a group planning unrest and disturbances at universities in Tehran and other parts of Iran on the eve of annual students’ day on December 7,” Iran’s Intelligence Ministry said in a statement.

“During the recent protests, the group had planned to draw students off the campus of Tehran University to create unrest which was neutralized by the vigilance of committed students and relevant institutions,” the statement added.
