China to increase technological ties with Iran

Tehran (ISNA) - Chinese Science and Technology Minister, Wang Jigang told Iran’s Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari, “We will try to boost bilateral scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries with full force”.

Mentioning that Iran is the world’s third gas producer and has world’s biggest oil and gas reserves, Sattari added, “Iran’s economy is being influenced by youth who are interested in startups”.

Noting that China is world’s first power, the official said, “China’s growth in science is increasing like it can leave US behind a few years later. Governments’ duty is to develop communication bridge between knowledge-based companies, universities and scientific and training centers”.

During the meeting, the two officials signed a cooperation agreement between Chinese Science and Technology Ministry and Iran’s Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology.

Sattari accompanied by directors of 70 Iranian knowledge-based, technological and creative companies has traveled to China. Advancing the companies’ export to China and preparing ground for technology exchange are of goals of the visit.
