Asian Film Festival Barcelona praises Iran with 3 awards

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian cinema was praised at 7th Asian Film Festival Barcelona with three awards including the best film.

Asian Film Festival is aimed at approaching international audience to Asian stories and showing chosen films from 25 Asian countries. The festival which was held from October 30 to November 10, named “Reza” directed by Alireza Motamedi the best film in its main section.

It also praised Shahram Mokri for directing “Invasion” as the best director in its Discovery section.

Iranian director Rouhollah Hejazi also won the best screenplay award in the Panorama section.

“Sheeple” by Houman Seyyedi, “Footwork” by Mazdak Mirabedini, “Orange Days” by Arash Lahooti, “Orduckly” by Behrouz Gharib Pour, “Yeva” by Anahid Abad, “First Autograph For Rana” by Ali Zhakan, “Wild Jonquils” by Rahbar Ghanbari, “Pastarioni” by Soheil Movafagh and “Astigmatism” by Majid-Reza Mostafavi were other representatives of Iran at the festival.
