Iran has capacity for 5%, 20%, 60% enrichment: Kamalvandi

کمالوندی

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran Atomic Energy Organization spokesman, Behrouz Kamalvandi said, “Inspectors of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) were invited to visit (gas) feeding and collecting product in Fordow facility and they are due to come here (Fordow) on Sunday again for due diligence”.

On Saturday morning after reporters’ visit to Fordow enrichment facility, Kamalvandi told a news conference, “According to the order of the President and the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, UF6 gas was injected to 1044 centrifuges in the site and today you saw that the machines are active and their product has been sampled”.

“Nuclear materials were not due to exist in Fordow for 15 years but it happened by transferring a cylinder from Natanz to Frodow which brought about 2 tons of gas. In recent years we enriched not only raw materials, but also the waste materials from enrichment process,” he added.

Kamalvandi said, “Fordow will reach its maximum capacity in coming days closing to its capacity before the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)”.

He stressed that IAEO is ordered to keep enrichment level on 5%, although it has the capacity for 20% and 60% enrichment. “But thinking about how many bombs can be produced with this amount of uranium is US and Israel’s illusions. Every mad man thinks all other men mad,” he said.
