Iran seeking expansion of its cooperation with world’s countries: Larijani

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani met with his Pakistani, Irish and Macedonian counterparts on the sidelines of the 141st Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Belgrade, stressing on developing cooperation.

During the meeting with Macedonian Parliament Speaker, Talat Xhaferi, Larijani said, “Iran has positive view about visa waiver between the two countries to help boost trade ties. If Macedonian Foreign Ministry considers visa waiver with Iran, Tehran will provide fair conditions for similar facility to the Macedonian nationals”.

He also called for expansion of cooperation between Iran and Macedonia on tourism.

In a meeting with Irish Parliament Speaker, Larijani welcomed reopening of Ireland’s embassy in Tehran, saying the move will pave the way for better relations between the two countries.

Meanwhile he met with Pakistani Parliament Speaker, Asad Qaiser, saying, “Tehran and Islamabad need to use their potentials to develop their bilateral ties”. 

“There is little commerce between Iran and Pakistan. We need to create a situation so that both countries use their full potentials,” he added.
