Pakistan PM arrives in Tehran

ورود نخست وزیر پاکستان به مشهد

Tehran (ISNA) – Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan has arrived in Tehran to meet with Iranian senior officials.

Heading a political delegation, Imran Khan arrived in Tehran on Sunday as part of an initiative to promote peace and security between Iran and Saudi Arabia as well as in the region.

Khan is accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sayed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari

Khan will meet Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani.

Besides issues relating to peace and security in the Persian Gulf, bilateral matters and important regional developments will be discussed.

Khan is expected to visit Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
