Attacks on Aramco to have short-term impacts: Iran Oil Minister

زنگنه در دولت

Tehran (ISNA) –Recent attacks on Saudi oil facility would have short-term impacts on oil market, Iran’s Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh said on Wednesday.

Answering a question about the impacts of the attacks on Saudi Aramco installation, the official said, “The effects of this event will be short-term, but it will affect the price of oil in all countries”.

Speaking about Iran oil sales, Zanganeh said, “We sell oil but we don’t do it easily”.

Mentioning US attempts to sell its oil in the oil market, he said, “US seeks a share in the oil market through producing shale oil, which is one of the reasons of Washington’s sanctions on Iran’s oil sells. They are also concerned about oil supply. We have always said that oil shouldn’t be used as a weapon, because it’s a necessary product for everyone”.

The official said, after US implemented sanctions against Iran, “Russians have acted better than China” to invest in Iran’s oil market.
