Zarif’s agenda in Moscow

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif will hold talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, meet with a group of Russian Iranologists and media representatives of the two countries at Iran’s embassy in Moscow, and give a speech about the most important regional developments especially the 2015 nuclear deal.

Zarif and Iranian Energy Minister, Reza Ardakanian arrived in Moscow on Sunday night and were welcomed by Iranian ambassador to the country and officials from Russian Foreign Ministry.

Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian also accompanies Zarif in Moscow as the head of Iran-Russia joint economic commission.

Zarif is to meet Sergei Lavrov on Monday to review the latest developments about implementation of the JCPOA, the Persian Gulf, Syria, Afghanistan as well as Yemen.

The talks on the 2015 nuclear deal will come as Iran has given other parties to the deal, especially Europe, until Thursday to fulfill their commitments under the accord; otherwise Iran will take the third step of reducing its obligations.

After that, the two top diplomat with attend a joint press conference.

Having interviews with Russian domestic and international media is among Zarif’s agenda.
