Zarif describes talks with Japanese PM, FM as constructive


Tehran (ISNA) – In a tweet written in Japanese, Iranian Minister of Foreign affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif said he had constructive talks with Japanese senior officials.

“In Japan, the second country I visited in Asia, I met with Foreign Minister Taro Kono and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe,” the Iranian top diplomat wrote.

Zarif who is in an Asian tour, added, “Constructive consultations were held on further strengthening bilateral relations, alleviating tensions in the Persian Gulf, and securing the benefits of nuclear agreements for Iranians”.

“Malaysia is the next country to visit in the Diplomatic Initiative”, he said.
