Iran’s Justice Minister departs for Singapore

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s Justice Minister, Alireza Avayi left Tehran for Singapore to attend signing ceremony for the Singapore Convention for Mediation and hold talks with Singaporean judicial officials.

According to the Justice Ministry, Avayi headed to Singapore on Tuesday.

During the visit, he will attend a signing ceremony for the Singapore Convention for Mediation on Aug 7 and meet with judicial officials of Singapore.

Around half of the countries, including the US and China, have indicated they will sign the treaty that will make it easier to enforce mediation settlements across borders.

The convention will apply only to commercial settlement agreements and countries that sign it will have to enforce the mediation agreements in court.
