Iran, Kuwait FMs hold phone conversation

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif held a phone conversation with Kuwait’s deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

During the phone call, the two diplomats discussed bilateral ties, issues of mutual concern and regional and international latest developments.

Zarif also thanked the Kuwaiti government and people for supporting Iranians especially in facing the aftermath of natural disasters that hit several cities in the country.

Kuwait’s first humanitarian aid package, consisting of some 40 tons of food and medicine, arrived at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport late on Friday while the second package arrived on Sunday. Kuwaiti government is reported to continue sending aid packages in the upcoming weeks.
