Iranian films to attend Hong Kong Int. Film Fest

Tehran (ISNA) – 43rd Hong Kong International Film Festival will host Iranian films in different sections.

“Orange Days”, a film directed by Arash Lahooti will be screened in Hong Kong Festival’s World Cinema Competition.

The film has won awards such as Grand Newcomer Award of Mannheim Film Festival and Prize of the Ecumenical Jury.

Along with Arash Lahooti, Sudabeh Mortezai, another Iranian director will participate in the festival with a drama film named “Joy” as the representative of Austria.

“Brick and Mirror”, an Iranian classical film directed by Ebrahim Golestan is due to be screened in Hong Kong Festival’s Kaleidoscope Section.

Master classes at this year’s 43rd edition of the festival include Asghar Farhadi, who will meet the audience following a screening of his latest film “Everybody Knows”.

43rd Hong Kong International Film Festival is due to be held March 18 to April 1.
