Iranian animation “The Fox” to attend Int. festivals

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian animation film “The Fox” directed by Sadegh Javadi is on the road to three international festivals, after its success in the 11th Tehran Animation Festival.

The animation film is due to attend the 2nd Phenicien International Film Festival’s international competition section. The festival will be held March 14-16 in Lyon and Paris, France.

The film will also be screened in the best short films section of 18th Lisbon Film Festival, which is due to be held March 22-31 in Portugal. The non-competition section screens the world’s best animation films of the year in terms of story and technical and artistic values.

Green Mountain Film Festival in Vermont, US, is another event in which the animation film will attend. The festival will be held March 22-30, following the aim of showing diverse cultural views and encouraging media to introduce different cultures.

“The Fox” has already attended other festivals in spain, Italy, Canada, Serbia, Portugal, Romania, Netherlands and Greece and crowned best short film at the Varna World Festival of Animated Film.

“The Fox” tells the story of a young fox on the verge of experiencing the first love. Meanwhile, it gets trapped by a hunter. Thus begins the fox’s effort to survive and love, and seek revenge.
