Iran’s exports to Pakistan set new record

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran’s trade attaché in Pakistan informed of unprecedented growth in Iran’s export to Pakistan, saying, “Our export to Pakistan has reached $1.19 billion during first 10 months of current Iranian fiscal year”.

The Iranian attaché said, “Iran’s export to Pakistan was $741 million during the same period last year. Currently, the exports have reached $1.19 billion with 41% growth”.

“The exports have faced such growth while the two countries encounter the lack of banking relations and direct marine transportation. We can be hopeful that the number reaches up to $5billion,” he added.

According to the official, during the same period, Pakistan’s exports to Iran have reduced 31%, falling from $365million to $236million.

Iran’s exports to Pakistan include industrial equipment, tile and ceramic, building materials and petrochemical materials.
