Araqchi meets deputies of Slovak foreign, economic ministers

Tehran (ISNA) - Iranian deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Abbas Araqchi held separate meetings with deputies of Slovak foreign and economic ministers.

During the meetings, Araqchi and Slovak officials exchanged views over developing bilateral relations especially economic and political cooperation as well as the important regional and international developments.

Both sides expressed hope that the payment channel known as the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to be finalized as soon as possible to facilitate economic cooperation, stressing on the need to support expansion of bilateral cooperation.

The Slovakia’s officials have also announced their country’s readiness to continue cooperation and negotiations with Iran.

Iranian deputy Foreign Minister arrived in Slovakia’s capital Bratislava on Tuesday on the second leg of his European tour.

Araqchi arrived in Vienna on Monday to take part in the fourth round of political negotiations between Iran and Austria.

Earlier, Araqchi held meetings with Yukiya Amano, Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Austrian Secretary General for Foreign Affairs Johannes Peterlik, Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, and Austrian Deputy Minister of Economy and Digital Michael Sterl.

He will also visit Bulgaria on the third leg of his European tour.
