Tehran, Vienna stress on continuous political talks

Tehran (ISNA) - Iranian deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Abbas Araqchi wet with Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, following his political talks in Austria.

The latest condition of the payment channel known as the Special Payment Vehicle (SPV), attempts by European sides to preserve Iran’s nuclear deal known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and regional developments in Syria, Palestine, Lebanon and Yemen as well as, issues of mutual interest were the topics discussed during the meeting.

Appreciating Austria’s supportive stance on JCPOA, the Iranian deputy Foreign Minister insisted on the need of SPV’s immediate implementation and advantages of economic cooperation for Iran.

Pointing to the latest developments in the region, he described the destructive policies of Israel as the main factor of instability in the region.

The Austrian foreign minister, for her part, stressed on the need for continuing political talks between the two countries, aimed at advancing peace and stability in the Middle East.
