Iran, Syria sign 11 cooperation documents

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran and Syria have signed 11 cooperation documents and Memorandum of Understandings aiming to develop and deepen the relations between the two countries.

The agreements were signed during a visit by Iran's First Vice President, Es'haq Jahangiri, who is on a two-day trip to the Arab country at the head of a high-ranking delegation.

9 cooperation documents and MoUs were signed in the presence of Es'haq Jahangiri and Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis and an agreements and a MoU were signed by Jahangiri and Imad Khamis.

The two countries signed documents and MoUs addressing geomatic cooperation in the field of surveying, cinematic collaboration, executive cooperation in the field of education, fighting against money laundering and financing terrorism, housing, public services, railways, joint investment, exhibition partnerships and cultural cooperation.

During the ceremony, Es'haq Jahangiri and Imad Khamis have also signed a MoU related to the 14th meeting of Iran-Syria Economic Cooperation High Committee and an agreement related to the long-term strategic economic cooperation between the two countries.
