Tallinn Film Festival’s best actor award goes to Navid Mohammadzadeh

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian actor Navid Mohammadzadeh won Best Actor Award at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival for playing in “Sheeple” directed by Houman Seyyedi.

The best actor award was shared by Iran's Navid Mohammadzadeh for his work on “Sheeple” and Dar Salim, the male lead of the Danish film “Until We Fall”.

The fifth feature film by Houman Seyyedi, “Sheeple” was screened at the competition section of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, vying with 18 other films in the category to achieve the Grand Prix.

But at the end, “Wandering Girl”, a Colombian/French co-production directed by Rubén Mendoza, was awarded the Grand Prix of the 22nd Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

Additionally, “Kajal” directed by Nima Saleh Yar, as the other Iran’s representative in the event, was screened at the first and second films section of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, winning NETPAC Award.

The 22nd Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival ran Nov. 16-Dec 2 in Estonia.
