Success or failure of JCPOA serious test for IAEA credibility: Salehi


Tehran (ISNA) - Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi stressed on Wednesday that success or failure of 2015 nuclear deal is a serious test for evaluating the credibility of IAEA and Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons Treaty.

Salehi made the remarks during his speech at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology is being held in the Austrian capital Vienna from November 28 to 30, 2018.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly believes that the implementation of the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) considers as a serious test for evaluating the credibility of IAEA’s charter and the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons Treaty,” he said.

“Iran is ready to share its experiences and achievements in the field of nuclear energy with other member states especially neighboring countries,” Salehi went on to say.
