Iran’s “Cold Sweat” to vie at Stockholm Int’l Film Festival

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian film “Cold Sweat” directed by Soheil Beiraghi has been elected as one of the nominees in the competition sector of Stockholm International Film Festival.

The 29th edition of Stockholm International Film Festival will take place November 7-18, 2018 in Sweden and “Cold Sweat” will be Iranian cinema’s representative in competition sector of the event.

“Cold Sweat” is also scheduled to screen in the Asian Future section of the 31st Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) that will take place in the Japanese capital from October 25 to November 3.

The film tells Afrooz’s story who is the captain of the women's futsal team in Iran. After 11 years of hard work, his dream comes true: Iran is in the final of the Asian Nations Cup. But when she embarks for Malaysia, she learns that her husband forbids her to leave the territory.

The two-time Oscar-winning director Asghar Farhadi will also be honored with the Stockholm Visionary Award this year at the 29th Stockholm International Film Festival in Sweden.
