Iran, Russia insist on providing maximum visa facilities

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran and Russia insisted on providing maximum visa facilities for each other’s nationals.

During the 6th joint consulate meeting between Iran and Russia, the two sides insisted on their will on expanding their people-to-people relations and providing maximum visa facilities for each other’s nationals, expressing satisfaction from the growing process in Iran- Russia bilateral relations in all areas.

The two sides discussed the issues and problems of merchants, students and tourists of their countries in each other’s territory, agreeing on presenting more services for them.

During the consulate meeting, Iran and Russia representatives exchanged their views and agreed on electronic and airport visa issuing for each other’s citizens, transferring convicts, judiciary assistance and cooperation on fighting against drug and human smuggling, as well as, organized crimes, insisting on more cooperation between Iranian and Russia interior and justice ministries and their police forces.

The two sides also determined to hold their next joint consulate meeting in Tehran.
