Iran’s “A Special Day” wins best screenplay award at Pyongyang festival

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian film “A Special Day” directed by Homayoun Assadian won best screenplay award at Pyongyang International Film Festival.

In 16th edition of Pyongyang International Film Festival held in Pyongyang, North Korea, other Iranian films including “Dressage” directed by Pooya Badkoobeh and “Starless Dreams” directed by Mehrdad Oskouei along to “A Special Day” had been attended.

“A Special Day” tells a story about a young girl Manijeh who has heart disease which forces her brother Hamed to do a difficult choice about what they should do and what is fair.

Shirin Aghakashi, Farhad Aslani, Parinaz Izadyar are among the cast of the film.
