Iran condemns recent terror attack by PKK in Turkey

Tehran (ISNA) - Iranian deputy Interior Minister for Security and Police Affairs, Hossein Zolfaghari in a phone call with Undersecretary of Turkey’s Ministry of Interior, Muhterem Ince condemned recent terrorist attack by PKK.

During the phone conversation, Zolfaghari expressed his deepest sympathy and condolence to the Turkish government and nation and families of the eight Turkish soldiers who martyred during the terror attack.

Expressing Iran’s readiness to cooperate with Turkey in the fields of fighting terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking, Zolfaghari announced that Iran's customs officers in Bazargan border crossing in West Azarbaijan Province detected and seized some 1,100 kilograms of heroin in a truck leaving the country.

The Turkish official, for his part, thanked Iran for its condolence message following the terrorist attack and praised Iran’s proper operational measures to criminals who disturb security and order of the region.
