4 Iranian films to vie at Asia Pacific Screen Awards

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran has selected four films in different categories such as feature and documentary as the country’s official submissions to the 12th edition of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards in Australia.

The 12th edition of Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) will be held on November 29 in Australia and the selection committee of the event is evaluating a list of 268 films from 46 countries of the region to pick the five nominees for each of different categories.

Iran has selected “Astigmatism” directed by Majid Reza Mostafavi for feature films category, “Orduckly” directed by Behrouz Gharibpour for children films category, “Lady Qods of Iran” directed by Mostafa Razaq-karimi and “Finding Farideh” directed by Kourosh Ataei for documentary films category.

The Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) is an international cultural initiative of the Brisbane City Council, Australia, to honour and promote the films, actors, directors, and cultures of the Asia-Pacific region to a global audience and to realise the objectives of UNESCO to promote and preserve the respective cultures through the influential medium of film.
