Dormishian’s “White Chairs” invited to Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian filmmaker Reza Dormishian’s fourth feature film “White Chairs” has been invited to the 26th edition of Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival.

The first and largest mental health film festival, which uses art to investigate and to illuminate the realities and mythologies surrounding mental health and addiction issues, will be held October 10-21, 2018 in Toronto, Canada.

In the 26th edition of Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival, Dormishian’s “White Chairs” along with other films from Canada, Italy, France, Argentina, Taiwan, Austria, India, Sri Lanka, Germany and Ireland will be screened.

Dormishian who has also written the screenplay and did the cinematography of the movie, produced it in English language in New Zealand.

Mathew Joils, Emily Hurley, Michael Adams, and Stephen R. Caran are among the cast of ‘White Chairs’, an Iran-New Zealand production.

Earlier, “White Chairs” has been screened at the 41st International Sao Paulo Film Festival and 18th edition of Asiatica Film Festival in Rome.

The movie shows a city in New Zealand after an earthquake devastated the place and life of many people living there. In the scenario, a boy and a girl whose lives were destroyed by the tragedy, fall in love and start an emotional relationship without ever speaking a word to each other.
