Iranian documentary film “Sara” in S. Korean festival

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian documentary feature film “Sara” directed by Hadi Shariati will attend South Korean DMZ International Documentary Film Festival.

10th DMZ International Documentary Film Festival will be held September 13 -17 in Paju and Goyang and the Iranian film will be screened at Asian film sector.

During the upcoming film festival, 127 documentary films from 80 countries will be screened.

“Sara” will compete with 7 other feature films from Philippians, South Korea, Japan, India, Vietnam and Hong Kong in the Asian films sector to gain $ 10,000 award.

“Sara” tells a story of a film director who understands about his daughter’s blindness at her birthday but him and his wife little by little find out that their daughter`s right eye has limited eyesight. They start to record their daughter’s life, trying to be realistic.

The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival is one of the most important events in South Korea which in recent years has become an important event in Asia by supporting Asian and international film makers.
